Please make sure that in preparing your child's snack and lunch each day, you are mindful of the following "safe food" guidelines:

The following is a list of SAFE FOODS:

  • Cheerios or other low-sugar cereals
  • Cooked pasta with butter
  • Goldfish crackers
  • Pretzels
  • Cereal bars (ONLY those that are processed in a NUT FREE facility)
  • Fresh fruit thinly sliced or cut into small pieces
  • Whole-grain crackers
  • Mini-muffins
  • Mini rice cakes
  • Cheese cubes, slices, or sticks
  • Animal crackers
  • Graham crackers
  • Pirate's Booty
  • Bunny cookies or crackers

The following is a list of UNSAFE FOODS: (CHOKING HAZARDS)

  • NO grapes, blueberries, or dried fruits of any kind including raisins
  • NO carrots or celery
  • NO popcorn
  • NO candy of any kind

Birthday Celebrations

Please notify your classroom teachers should you wish to celebrate your child's birthday at school. Birthday celebrations consist of a family member joining the class at an agreed upon time and date for a read-aloud. No food of any kind is permitted at your child's celebration.
