Safe Food Guidelines
**ALLERGY ALERT**
Food must not contain PEANUTS and/or Tree Nuts
Please make sure that in preparing your child's snack and lunch each day, you are mindful of the following "safe food" guidelines:
The following is a list of SAFE FOODS:
- Cheerios or other low-sugar cereals
- Cooked pasta with butter
- Goldfish crackers
- Pretzels
- Cereal bars (ONLY those that are processed in a NUT FREE facility)
- Fresh fruit thinly sliced or cut into small pieces
- Whole-grain crackers
- Mini-muffins
- Mini rice cakes
- Cheese cubes, slices, or sticks
- Animal crackers
- Graham crackers
- Pirate's Booty
- Bunny cookies or crackers
The following is a list of UNSAFE FOODS: (CHOKING HAZARDS)
- NO grapes, blueberries, or dried fruits of any kind including raisins
- NO carrots or celery
- NO popcorn
- NO candy of any kind
Birthday Celebrations
Please notify your classroom teachers should you wish to celebrate your child's birthday at school. Birthday celebrations consist of a family member joining the class at an agreed upon time and date for a read-aloud. No food of any kind is permitted at your child's celebration.
