Meet Our Director

Hello! I'm Lisa Marie George, and it’s been my honor to serve at the helm of The Anne Brower School since 2015.
My journey here is fueled by a deep-seated passion for early childhood education and a dream to create a nurturing space for young minds.
My professional path has been dedicated to the educational and emotional growth of children. With over a decade in elementary education and as the founder of ‘Believing in Little Miracles’ – part of the dynamic Fun Bus fleet – I’ve embraced diverse ways to enrich young lives.
The turning point for me came in 2015 when I learned about the closure of The Anne Brower School, a beloved institution of – at the time – 37 years.
Teaming up with Anne Brower, we devised a plan to continue the school’s legacy, blending her wisdom with new, innovative approaches. Anne, now enjoying retirement, still contributes as a consultant, keeping the school’s original spirit alive.
This journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. It’s a daily reminder of the power of small miracles and the importance of fostering a safe, nurturing environment where every child’s unique abilities are celebrated. Our commitment to innovation has led to enhanced programming, revitalized facilities, and enriched playgrounds, creating a truly exceptional educational setting.
I eagerly anticipate meeting your family, understanding your needs, and being a part of your child’s journey of discovery and growth.
Let's work together to support the bright, promising miracles in your life!

My journey as an educator began with a heart full of passion for working with children. At Long Island University, I majored in Elementary Education, eager to shape young minds and make a positive impact in their lives.
Fresh out of university, I dove straight into teaching at The Happy Montessori School in Port Washington, NY. Those three years in Kindergarten were a joyful return to the roots of learning.
Inspired to address educational inequality and support early literacy, I returned to Long Island University. Earning my Literacy Specialist degree fueled my commitment to helping every child thrive from the start.
Equipped with new insights, I taught various grades in the Port Washington School District. From Kindergarten to 5th grade, I discovered that early education is where I could make the most meaningful impact.
Balancing family and career led me to establish ‘Believing in Little Miracles’ with the ‘Fun Bus Fitness Fun on Wheels’ fleet. This venture allowed me to blend education with flexibility, reaching many young learners outside the traditional classroom.
Becoming a mother to Logan added a new dimension to my life. His adventurous spirit and zest for learning continually inspire me and those around him.
Life gifted me double joy with the arrival of my twins, Payton and Paige. Their individual personalities shine bright, filling each day with laughter, love, and learning.
In searching for the perfect nursery school for Logan, I was drawn to the renowned Anne Brower School. Faced with its impending closure, I stepped in to safeguard its legacy, and today, I'm proud to lead a school that continues to inspire and educate.
